Your teak furniture should be cleaned periodically to remove any dirt or residue from the wood surface. In a bucket, mix Murphys Oil Soap with warm water. Immerse a soft microfiber cloth into the soapy water. Remove the cloth and squeeze out any excess liquid. Gently wipe the wood with your damp cloth. Rinse the furniture with clean clear water. Do not use a power washer, as the force could damage the wood. Once all of the residue has been removed, buff the surface with a dry cloth. Any difficult areas should be scrubbed with a soft brush. Do not use steel wool to remove residue, as the bristles may leave scratches on the wood surface. Keep in mind that it is best to remove residue from the wood as soon as possible. Wipe off stains as they happen. Bird deposits can be particularly damaging and can lead to permanent stains in the wood. You can brighten your teak furniture by applying a brightening product specifically for teak wood. Apply a sealant to the wood each spring to protect the surface from damage caused by the elements.
I started to gather a lot of DIY tutorials and tips and managed to decorate my home for cheap... you can't imagine how cheap! Also instead of just throwing a lot old clothes, jars, furniture or other stuff, I recycled them into amazing new things. Recycling your used furniture is also good because it can be used instead of new furniture that would require more material use and pollution. You can learn how to take care of your interior design without having to pay a designer, learn how to craft, get ideas about new accessories and storage space you wouldn't have tought about an a lot of other useful tips&tricks. The old saying that "you get what you pay for" has no relevance here as you can turn almost anything into a piece of art by yourself in your own home with a lot less money a lot of fun. Yes, DIY is a lot of fun! You can make a list of activities with the kids and in the same time transform your house.
Make sure the construction is only premium grade teak for our garden furniture, so any knots, cracks and other defects are eliminated before the timber is used to build the furniture. The cushions also need to be taken care of. They must be regularly washed and cleaned as they will attract more dust due to long exposure. Check the manufacturers label for washing instructions. If it can be machine washed then wash it in warm water and dry it. If it is to be hand washed then soak it in soapy water before washing them.
